For new patients we offer this personalized service. At times clients are not sure if they need medication or therapy as a form of treatment. In these cases, we offer initial diagnostic assessment. Assessments can usually be conducted in one or two sessions, after which the provider can give feedback to the patient. Usually patients will want to know if they meet the criteria for a specific diagnosis, and if so, what are the recommendations for treatment. Please note that after initial session, should we determine that the scope of services provided by NorthPoint Psychiatric Consultants, LLC , will not optimally meet a client's individual needs or expectations, we reserve the right to decline additional treatment with our practice, but will provide appropriate referrals that would best meet the patient's clinical needs.
