ADHD

Adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common condition affecting more than 4 percent of adults in the United States—many who remain undiagnosed and untreated. Without proper diagnosis and care, ADHD can create personal and professional difficulties, including relationship problems, substance abuse, and problems at work and school.

Specialists at NorthPoint Psychiatric Consultants offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for ADHD, including:

  • comprehensive diagnostic evaluations

  • neuropsychological testing

  • medication consultation and management

Neuropsychological testing

A diagnostic assessment for ADHD involves three main parts: gathering a clinical history through an interview with your provider, an objective measurement of symptoms, and the completion of one or more rating scales. Psychological testing offer a more comprehensive understanding of each individual's ADHD profile, aiding in more targeted and effective treatment planning.
